Being Thankful

When was the last time you sent a thank-you card? I must admit, I'm not the best at sending thank-you cards. Just ask my family! Recently, I received a book from a grandparent of one of my former students. It is a rather long story that I won't share today, but it is one in which I am very thankful and grateful!

Since we live in such an electronic time - we have email, e-cards, voice mail, electronic banking and virtual flowers, it seems paper mail is on the decline. I am thankful for the modern day electronic communication, but it is nice to receive a hand written card! That is why I knew that the most fitting way to appreciate this grandparent was by sending a beautiful thank-you card! Thanks to my sister, who just happens to be a Stampin Up Consultant, I was able to send a beautiful card!

So the next time you are about to send an electronic card for some one's birthday, think about taking the extra time and send them a card in the mail! I'm sure they will appreciate the extra step!

Just found your blog from Whatever, and I LOVE THIS POST! I am a HUGE fan of handwritten notes of all kinds, prompt thank-yous being some of my favorite ones. Happy to have met you. Currently live in Cincinnati, but have lived in West Michigan also. Good to find you!

Thanks for the reminder.

I admit, I say thank you, but I don't usually take the extra time to send out a thank you card in the mail, although I know I really should.

My family calls me the Queen of Thank You cards. :) I think it is because I love buying and using cute stationary! :)

I'm so glad you sent your envelope. I sent 12 but got 2 back the next day because I forgot to put a stamp on them. Duh! :) I mailed them yesterday anyway. :)
