Yesterday my camera died. At least I think that is what happened. For the past few months, I have noticed my photos have been on the blurry side, and that it won't focus from time to time. When I tried to take some pictures yesterday, I got a black screen. I tried new batteries, turning it off and on, etc. Nothing!
My camera is a five year old Fujifilm 500. It has served me well and for the most part it did what I wanted it to!
This is where I need your help, what camera should I buy? I'm a basic type of girl on a budget. Your help would be greatly appreciated!! I have a number of posts that I want to do, but without a camera I might have to take a little "blogging break".

I have a Canon Powershot A620 (I don't think the exact model is still available), at the time it and other Canon cameras recieved some of the highest raitings.
I have a little Sony cybershot. It also shoots video.
I have no idea how much it cost. My husband gave it to me for Christmas '07.
I am a Sony Cybershot also. It does the job. If you are looking to take REALLY good pictures I have heard you gotta spend the money. I think you can get a Sony Cybershot for around $200. A red island huh? That is a daring color. Can't wait to see it!
Hey Kim-
My friend Megan wrote a guest post for me awhile ago talking about her point and shoot. It was a Nikon Coolpix S550. If you want to read the review it was posted on Nov. 4 2008.
I had a Coolpix about 5 years ago and LOVED it. Now I have a Canon 40D which is probably not what you are looking for :)
Thanks for your encouraging words today! E-mail me if I can be of any more help.
